December 4, 2008

BRIDGEPORT — Michael Koskoff, senior partner at Koskoff, Koskoff & Bieder, has been named to a three year term as a commissioner on Connecticut’s Judicial Selection Commission.

The role of the Commission is to evaluate, investigate and recommend qualified candidates for consideration by the Governor for nomination as judges for the Superior Court, the Appellate Court and the Supreme Court.

Under Connecticut law the Governor can only make appointments of candidates for judicial office who have first been approved by the commission.

The bi-partisan commission is composed of twelve citizens. Koskoff is one of six lawyers on the Commission.
