Koskoff’s Tisdale Named To Justice Foundation Board

Attorney Preston C. Tisdale, of Bridgeport’s Koskoff, Koskoff & Bieder, has been appointed to the executive committee of the Public Justice Foundation.

Tisdale, a resident of Trumbull, said he is proud to work with the foundation, which works to increase public access to justice and fight threats to the justice system. “I’m honored to help serve those harmed by wrongdoers in America,” he said. “Whether wronged by deceptive pharmaceutical companies, irresponsible manufacturers, unjust employers or punitive credit card companies … ordinary people deserve unfettered access to the court system and the hope of obtaining justice. It is gratifying to be part of an organization that so closely reflects the efforts of my firm.”

Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the Public Justice Foundation (www.publicjustice.net) has been advocating for the public interest for 35 years. It is involved in civil rights cases, anti-bullying campaigns, consumer rights, gender and sexual rights, and much more.

“Preston brings to the executive committee his wealth of experience and passion for Public Justice’s mission of bringing legal challenges to corporate and governmental abuse,” said Michael L. Pitt, president of the Public Justice Foundation. “We greatly value Preston’s leadership and guidance and look forward to working with him.”

Tisdale received his Juris Doctorate from the New York University School of Law and his undergraduate degree in public policy from Brown University. He is president of the Brown Alumni Association and has served as a member of the Connecticut Commission on Racial and Ethnic Disparity since its inception. He has also served on the Connecticut Supreme Court Chief Justice’s Criminal Justice Committee and the Connecticut Hate Crimes Advisory Committee. Among numerous awards and honors, Tisdale received the Distinguished Service Award from the NAACP; the Award of Excellence and the Community Service Award, both from Action for Bridgeport Community Development; and the Outstanding Community Service Award from Save Our Babies. He serves on the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association’s board of governors.
